Privacy Policy
Funded Ground is a comparison and information site. We keep data collection minimal: no public accounts, no advertising profiles, and only anonymous cookieless usage analytics.
Last updated: 23 September 2026
1. Who we are
This website (fundedground.org, “Funded Ground”, “we”, “us”) is operated by Raweesha, trading as Funded Ground, a sole trader based in Sri Lanka. For any privacy request, contact support@fundedground.org; a postal address is available on request. We are the data controller for the limited personal data described below.
2. What we collect, and why
| Data | When | Why (legal basis) |
|---|---|---|
| Review content — star rating, written review, and any photos you attach | When you submit a review | To publish community feedback (your consent, given via the tick-box on the form) |
| The contents of any email you send us | When you contact us | To answer you (our legitimate interest in responding to enquiries) |
| Standard server logs — IP address, browser type, page requested, timestamp — kept transiently by our hosting providers | Automatically, on every request | Security, abuse prevention and keeping the site running (legitimate interest) |
We do not ask for your name, email address or account details to use the site. Reviews are published as “Anonymous Trader” — we do not store a name against them. We do not use advertising pixels, fingerprinting or identified behavioural profiles. We use PostHog in cookieless mode to measure anonymous page views, traffic sources and interactions such as deal-link and coupon clicks. See our Cookie Policy.
3. Who processes data on our behalf
- Cloudflare, Inc. — hosting, content delivery, and storage of the site database and uploaded review images.
- Vercel Inc. — hosting and content delivery for the website front end.
- Resend — sends us an internal notification email when a review needs moderation.
- PostHog — provides cookieless, anonymous website usage analytics.
These providers act as processors under our instructions. We do not sell, rent or trade personal data, and we do not share it for anyone else’s marketing.
4. International transfers
Our providers operate globally, so data may be processed on servers outside your country, including in the United States and the EU. Where required, these transfers rely on the providers’ standard contractual clauses or equivalent safeguards.
5. How long we keep it
- Published reviews and their images: kept while the review is live; removed on request or if moderation rejects them.
- Emails you send us: kept for as long as needed to deal with the matter, then deleted.
- Server logs: retained only for the short period our hosting providers hold them (typically days to a few weeks).
6. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you have rights under Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act No. 9 of 2022, the EU/UK GDPR, the California CCPA/CPRA and similar laws. These include the right to access the data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to object to or restrict processing, to withdraw consent, and to data portability. California residents also have the right not to be discriminated against for exercising these rights; note we do not “sell” or “share” personal data as those terms are defined.
To exercise any right, email support@fundedground.org. Because reviews are anonymous, we may need details (such as the approximate date and firm) to locate the right entry. We respond within 30 days. You may also complain to your local data-protection authority.
7. Children
The site is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
8. Security
The site is served over HTTPS and hosted on managed infrastructure. Administrative access is restricted and protected by authentication. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect the limited data we hold.
9. Changes
If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for material changes, add a notice on the site. Adding personalised analytics, embedded media or any new non-essential tracking would require this policy and the Cookie Policy to be updated first, with consent controls where the law requires them.
